Just Sit Quietly

Just sit quietly

Our lives are busy.

Time to think profoundly is at a premium.

Time to reflect is a passing thought.

Yet there is a universe of valuable information available to us.

I'm just too busy to stop for a while.

I don't have the space within me to sit and reflect.

I say yes repeatedly, hoping to feel the satisfaction I seek.

I don't realize every yes I speak takes space in my life.

Every yes takes energy I could use to focus on other aspects of my life.

Every yes takes focus so I can do the best job.

Every yes takes resources. Those I have and those I must gather.

All the while, time speeds by, and before you know it, years have passed.

Just sit quietly for a while and see what comes.
