Coaching with Joshua - From Inner chaos to Inner Peace
I'm having my coffee and looking out to my beautiful garden.
The morning light is just beginning to show.
Then I see Joshua jumping up and down on my deck, then the tabletop, and back to the deck.
He has his front feet up in the air, waving to me frantically.
"Hey Joshua, what is going on?" I ask.
"Gees, Howard, I thought you'd never stop fiddling around and get down here to talk to me."
"Sorry about that, I've got a lot on my mind."
"I know, I know.
I can tell when you are wrestling with something big.
Your energy expands, and I can feel it out in my place in the garage.
You are wrestling with the chaos in the world. Nothing is as it used to be and may never be again."
"Right, I'm experiencing the anxiety in people. The media report virus cases infections like sports scores every day.
I think the fear level is high now, and people are stressed out.
The kids have gone back to school, and everyone is nervous.
The challenge I see is that no one is talking about what people need to better take care of themselves.
The only strategy is to shut everything down.
That leaves people isolated.
We, humans, need connection.
Unfortunately, separation is what we know.
Now, being locked in at home, the idea of separation is more significant, which produces mental stress and anxiety.
I want to help people not only cope but thrive in this new world of ours.
In my mind, this requires reinvention from the inside out to transform in a way that provides a healthier, more inspired way to live."
"I see what you see, Howard.
Your world has transformed, causing a new way of living that is not comfortable for most of you.
The tendency is to try to get back to normal.
Everyone is on hold until they can get back to doing what they used to do.
It is not going to happen.
Families are waking up to a new world where they work from home, the kids wear masks to school, and the opportunity to have big get-togethers is in the past.
The big holidays coming up, such as Thanksgiving and Christmas, leave people at a loss.
The loss of connection between family members and friends is painful.
I'll tell you something important, Howard.
The time is now for the individual journey to be taken from the inside out.
The better people know their authentic self, the better they will be able to not only handle this new world you are in but live a life that is more fulfilling than just getting through the day.
Most of the world is on the Internet now. That is the new way of communicating and connecting.
Communicating over the Internet is not the same as connecting at heart with one another unless you learn how to do it.
First, people need to learn how to connect to their hearts.
"I'm tracking with you, Joshua. I see what you see.
I think the most profound desire is connection and understanding.
First, we need these for ourselves.
We must ask, how am I connected to my heart?
We need to recognize who we are as authentic beings.
We need to understand our deepest desires and bring them forward to inspire our lives in the most profound way possible.
Ask, how do I live my best life in the current circumstances.
We are all going through a dramatic shift in our personal and working lives.
It is time to awaken our potential, our possibilities, our love, and our creativity at this moment.
There is no time to lose because the world needs all our talents in abundance to get us through this transition time and move into a new reality."
"Yes!
It is the internal change process that people need to undertake to make sure they are ready and able to participate in the new world.
Living, loving, and working are all on a new stage.
Long-held life patterns come to the surface, attempting to put you back on an old track called normal.
Howard, this is a momentous time in your history.
Your people can learn how to shift their old life patterns to thrive in this new reality.
That is their most significant possibility.
Namaste
