What Are You Anxious About Today?

I'm wondering how anxious you are feeling today?

Our world is in chaos as we observe and experience events we have not seen before or heard about for many years.

If you watch the news on television, you see and hear the atrocities in parts of the world you may not have heard about until now. In your city, the news reports the tragic events of criminals and the sadness of your neighbours.

It all can add up to creating an anxious feeling in your body.

Sometimes in the night, my gremlin starts talking and analyzing with threatening descriptions of my life.

Tossing and turning, I try to get him to stop talking to me. I want the analysis to stop so that I can feel peaceful.

The middle of the night seems the most vulnerable time when I am susceptible to the gremlin talk.

When the gremlin gets the best of me, I will wake up tired and feeling vulnerable and most especially anxious.

Long-term anxiety will harm our health, affecting our heart, blood pressure, and thinking.

The people I speak with and work with describe their anxiety, particularly regarding health and financial issues. An internal dialogue goes with the anxiety, which creates a heavy heart, a racing mind, and a lack of focus.

Do you wonder if you will ever reach a state of equilibrium in which you will feel safe, happy, and joyous?

What will become of us if we bombard our bodies and minds with anxiety every day?

We need a way to reduce our anxiety so each day can be more fruitful, meaningful, and enjoyable.

First, find a way and means to calm yourself down.

Your choice could be meditation, a walk-in nature, or an activity that you know brings calmness to your body, mind, and heart.

My means of reducing anxiety are daily morning meditation, inspirational reading, and journaling.

The second element we need is to forgive and release ourselves from the chains of the past.

The words many people say to themselves based on their historical learning is, "I'm not good enough."

Replace the negative self-talk with a picture and words that inspire your mind, heart, and energy field to live in a stronger vibration

Find a way to forgive yourself for holding any false beliefs that create anxiety for you.

Thirdly we need a new clear and energized intention for our lives.

When you create a life intention, you set a context for your decisions and life direction.

Every day is a new day to practice and live your intention, particularly in this time of spring when there is new growth and rebirth.

Namaste
