Every Day Is Like A Blank Canvas

To quote Danny Kaye.. "Life is like a blank canvas. Throw as much paint on it as you can."

An inspirational statement for sure, yet most of us are struggling with the agenda of the day.

When you awaken in the morning, does your mind start rhyming off your list of things you must do during the day?

Life may be a canvas, but it feels like it is already full every day.

Little or no room for us to seemingly make a difference.

One activity gets pushed aside because something else needs more urgent attention.

In the meantime wearing ourselves out along the way.

When we were children, we learned what was important.

We were taught how the wheel of family life turns and learned too fill our days as directed.

Read these words by John O'Donohue and see if they change your perspective regarding what you might do with your canvas.

"Everyone is an artist. Everyone, whether they like it or not, is involved in the construction of their world. It's never a given as it looks. You are always shaping it and building it."

You are the artist, choose your colours and paint your day!
