The Rise Of The Wise
"Your radiance shines in every atom of creation, yet our petty desires keep it hidden." Rumi
The earth is a wise mother.
She gives us wind, earth, water, and fire to build and live our one precious life.
Yet, we seem to have lost our attention on the preciousness and wisdom of our mother and of ourselves as we search, dig and scrape for the idols we adore.
Does wisdom come with age? I don't think so.
Our lives contribute to the library of knowledge with which we navigate the waves of daily life.
Some of us live a series of days one at a time, each one being separate and distinct from the other. There is no correlation or accumulation of learning as to how the past may help us and others.
Others take each day and thoughtfully accumulate and wrap the days in understanding, learning, contemplation, and knowledge. I call this wisdom.
The storehouse of one who has accumulated knowledge and experience and kneaded it into a wise life has wisdom.
We call these people wise.
The wise are rising now because we need them.
They have woven their lives into a treasure that can guide us through the challenges and obstacles of these unique times.
This is a time of a collective rebirthing of our relationship with mother earth and with each other.
The descent into chaos, sickness, and pain has opened a door with which we are not familiar, yet it offers great promise.
The wise know this is a time in which the precious commodity of knowledge is not outside of us.
Knowledge brought into conscious awareness is seated in and expressed from the heart of the wise.
In the resonance of the heart and mind, the wise are precious.
We need to listen to their wisdom, take it into our hearts and minds.
Let the knowing percolate in such a way as to have us more deeply love ourselves, each other, and this precious mother earth that has given us life and breath.
"May everything in creation become a catalyst for your self-understanding.
May you make time to listen to the elements in their wisdom." Christine Valters Paintner.
