Listen With Awareness

An interesting fact I have learned about hearing aids is that they create a closed system.

Those of us who wear hearing aids know how much more engaged we are when we can hear.

Over the years, I resisted getting hearing aids.

I used to sit at the dining room table, not participating in the conversation because I could not hear.

It seemed easier to pretend I could hear.

I also see many people who do not use hearing aids have created a closed system.

When we isolate, we are alone in a crowd.

Your world is small because the only voice you hear is your own.

Take a moment and consider the impact on your relationships.

There is a disconnection, lack of presence, and a feeling of rejection for those closest to you.

I did not realize the impact of living in my closed system.

The constant chatter we all have from our inner voice is the same experience I have when I listen to my devices through my hearing aids.

No one hears the sound because it is coming vibrationally through my mind and devices.

Do you want better relationships with more connections?
If so, then bring awareness, presence, and intention to your listening.

Your focus on engaging in an open system rather than a closed one will have you be more connected to those around you.
