It's Never To Late To Create A New Life Story

John O'Donohue was a poet and philosopher who died suddenly in 2008.

Here is what his brother Pat O'Donohue said about John.

"John O'Donohue's life cannot be encompassed by one act of birth, life, and death.

He was not a finite act that existed and is now lost for evermore.

He is just a story that is written, spoken, and lives amongst us.

Just as we are and continue to be."

What is the Story you live and speak through every day?

Mine is a menagerie of my mother's early loss through years of working, marriage, divorce, and now embracing the shining light of love that has lasted thirty-five years.

I speak of my precious wife Kerry, who, through her grace and heart connection, has shown me and taught me patience, compassion, and passion.

My Story has shifted, expanded, shrunk, and expanded again, as one might know as the evolution of life. We, humans, are great adapters to the circumstances placed before us.

Our stories are well set in place.

They begin to form in the early years when others live our Story for us by lecture, rules, encouragement, and horizons that are not ours.

Do you think it's time to create, live and speak through a new story?

Each one of us is a creative dynamo, not yet shown to the world.

How would you go about creating a new story for your life?

Perhaps think of your Story as a quilt of many different pieces of cloth.

You have colours, shapes, sizes, and mediums that are possible to include.

Here are some questions to ask as you start bringing your Story to life:

When am I most in the flow?

Do I think in words or images?

Do I tell stories to make my point, or do I use just facts?

When do I lose track of time when I am engaged in an activity?

These questions can help to determine when you are in a state of flow.

What happens when everything else drops away except for what you are doing?

When you know what creates your state of flow, then take that and see how you can use it in every area of your life.

Your Story will emerge into a beautiful design.

What is the title of your Story?
